Program #5
Management Policies for Sustainable Development

Situation:

There are more than 110 million people displaced by violence due to impunity for crimes against humanity and global warming, a number that is rapidly increasing. Impunity for criminal states that commit state terrorism and international narcoterrorism is weakening democracies. What will happen when there are no more countries to flee to?

The hydrocarbon-based economy is unsustainable both due to pollution and the lack of profitability caused by the difficulty of accessing depleted oil reserves or because oil-producing nations have been hijacked, like Venezuela, by narcoterrorist tyrannies, or invaded, as is the case with Ukraine, by energy control, with holodomors and genocide committed with impunity.

Air pollution is the eighth leading cause of death worldwide; more than 80% of the world's urban population breathes air that is harmful to their health.

The sixth cause of death is environmental pollution. Slash and burn depletes oxygen emissions and absorbs CO2. We currently have little breathable air, and if this continues, generations of the not-too-distant future won't be able to breathe.

Solution

This program proposes four management policies to establish the administrative standards that will allow nations, continental organizations, and the United Nations to solve these problems and advance toward a free, just, and prosperous world where nations respect human and environmental rights without discrimination, continuously working with civic responsibility to consolidate them. A sustainable economy is promoted—that is, a sustainable supply and demand for goods, products, services and the transition from direct and indirect hydrocarbon-based economic activities to sustainable economic activities, especially energy, is fostered. Air quality is guaranteed through CO2 reduction and absorption in carbon-neutral civilizations. Key natural resources are conserved to at least ensure the breathing capacity of future generations until 2050. We describe how to develop these policies in our online course, Management Policies for Sustainable Development.

In the following video, we briefly explain what these management policies consist of and invite you to learn about the projects we are currently advising on to implement them.

Reform of the United Nations

Why should we fix the UN?

The United Nations has strayed from its purpose of preventing genocide and consolidating human rights, primarily those of security and democracy. Democracies are increasingly scarce, and impunity for genocide and terrorism has led to chaos, where victims are persecuted and terrorists are legitimized.

To give a few examples, the UN did nothing to stop the Syrian genocide perpetrator and terrorist or to protect his victims. It has not issued arrest warrants against criminals against humanity in Venezuela who are committing horrors similar to those in Syria. It has not issued arrest warrants against Cuba, instead assigning it a seat on the Human Rights Council.

It has also not applied the Convention on the Punishment and Prevention of Genocide against Russia, despite the fact that Putin is committing the best-documented genocide in human history against Ukrainian nationals, which he has done with impunity for many years against several nations. The UN doesn't fight terrorism. In Afghanistan, instead of fighting the Taliban, it put them on the UN payroll for their "security." And to top it all off, it supports and legitimizes Hamas's terrorism and antisemitism and criminalizes Israel for defending itself against Hamas, even though Israel is exercising its legitimate right to defend itself after enduring years of intense bombing and the abominable genocide in Israel on October 7, 2023, crimes against humanity in which UN members participated. Knowing that Hamas also commits brutal terrorism against Palestinians, helps Hamas indoctrinate children in antisemitism, steals humanitarian aid, provides refuge and protection to terrorists, and is complicit in the kidnapping of Israeli women on October 7, because it helped Hamas hide them in UN shelters. This deterioration of the UN is advancing at a dizzying pace. If Hitler or Stalin were in power in this century, we wouldn't want to imagine the legitimized horrors. But we do know that the UN, to date, has protected tyrannies, terrorism, and anti-Semitism more than its victims, and it fails to fulfill its purpose.

In environmental matters, we are far from ensuring humanity's breathing space. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are very beneficial for any country, but they have focused on measures that impoverish people, and the targets for reducing CO2 emissions have not been met. No effort has been made to absorb CO2, despite the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) clarifying that reducing and absorbing CO2 is necessary to halt global warming for the survival of humanity. They have dedicated themselves to highlighting inequalities, NOT TO RESOLVE THEM, BUT TO INCREASE SOCIAL RESENTMENT AND HATE, to pointing to democratic countries as the bad guys, only very eloquent speeches without real solutions to prevent natural reserves from retreating.

For example, when a series of fires occurred in Russia, due to the intentional burning of vast amounts of forest, attention was quickly diverted to condemn Brazil for fires in the Amazon (fires that we suspect were intentional, the same pattern that has been replicated worldwide, of setting fires in several equidistant areas so that they are difficult to control, a pattern that began several years ago in Ukraine, before the war, near a nuclear plant, toxic gases affected Ukrainians in kyiv. In that incident, a Russian was caught who confessed to starting a fire "for fun"). Instead of providing help to extinguish the fires, a campaign was launched against Bolsonaro. The fires continued, and the far-left's attacks were so blatant that the Venezuelan regime spilled oil into Brazilian seas. Everyone immediately condemned Brazil for destroying the environment with oil spills, too. To the surprise of Brazilians, when they analyzed the oil, they discovered it was Venezuelan crude. And we can cite many examples: the problem of climate change (WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE) is used as a political weapon, and no action is taken with the true intention of solving the problem, which is one of the greatest threats facing humanity.

Therefore, THE UN MUST BE FIXED. Its purpose is worthy, but its management is deplorable. While it is true that there are still people committed to human rights, security, and the environment at the UN, we must remove the bad apples of terrorist extremism and take measures to ensure it fulfills its purpose.

¿Cómo arreglar la ONU?

In order to promote the evolution of humanity towards the continuous consolidation of human and environmental rights without discrimination, compliance with international treaties on environmental protection and the fight against climate change, as well as other key agreements for the survival of our species and the planet, we propose a points system that evaluates the situation of each country in these issues, to establish sanctions and prizes as appropriate, which motivates nations to compete for the continuous improvement of the quality of life standards of their citizens, in prosperous democracies with sustainable development. We offer education and advice for the implementation of this points system in continental organizations and in the United Nations.

Management Policy for Air Quality

Projects Related to Management Policies to Promote the Reduction of CO2 Emissions, Recovery of Natural Resources and the Development of a Sustainable Economy

The NGO Arca Tierra evaluated the reasons why CO2 emissions reduction targets are not being met and found a way to achieve them more quickly until we become carbon-neutral nations. This is done through a comprehensive system of rewards and sanctions to reduce and absorb CO2 emissions, recover and conserve natural resources, and promote a sustainable, slavery-free economy based on the supply and demand of sustainable products, goods, and services that will lead to sustainable development in a democracy. It is a comprehensive system because demanding CO2 emissions reduction alone does not guarantee its achievement. Therefore, we recommend its implementation at the national, continental, and United Nations levels.

Projects Related to Replace Hydrocarbons and their Derivatives with Renewable Energies
and Sustainable Products

Management policy that will promote and facilitate in a gradient and with prudential times, the transition of the hydrocarbon and coal industries to be industries of sustainable activities, such as the production of renewable energies that instead of contaminating will absorb CO2 from the atmosphere and from the oceans, through geothermal plants, solar plants with microalgae solutions; production of raw materials based on carbon and graphene, very useful for different industries, to replace products that were obtained from hydrocarbons, such as tires, plastics, among others.

In our Evolution textbook and online course we teach how to develop this management policy and enforce it.

We provide consulting services to the oil, coal, gas, and related product industries to improve their profitability through eco-friendly processes and designs, sustainable goods and services, and biofactory-based solutions, enabling them to become part of a successful and prosperous circular economy. Below are some of the projects we support:
